Export Forms

Exporting forms will allow you to view all submissions to a form in one CSV file. This greatly helps for statistics, reviewing answers, and comparing submissions. You can also use excel filters to analyse data better.

Here's how to export a form:

STEP 1

Go to your Admin Panel then click on Forms on the left side menu or simply go to https://go.ninjodo.com/settings/forms.

STEP 2

Click the title of the form you want to export.

STEP 3

You will be taken to the preview of the form where you can also edit the questions/pages. Click on the "Export" button. The CSV file will automatically be downloaded after you click it.

In this example, I used a form which allows us to know in which social media platform people hear about us. This exported sample form can now be used to compare and determine the social media platform where people hear most about us. (NOTE: This is just a sample form.)

FOR EXCEL USERS

When you open the file using Excel, if the data looks disordered, here's how to fix it.

STEP 1

Highlight the first column of the spreadsheet or simply click on the letter "A" to highlight the whole column. Then click on "Data" tab on the menu bar. Next, click on "Text to Columns".

STEP 2

A dialog box will appear. "Delimited" is chosen by default so you can simply click on "Next >".

STEP 3

On the next screen, uncheck "Tab" and make sure "Semicolon" is checked. Then click on "Next >".

STEP 4

On the next screen, under "Data preview", click on the date column as shown below (it will be highlighted black when you click on it). Then, click on "Text" on the column data format. Click "Finish"

STEP 5

The data will be separated into their own columns. Just expand the width by dragging the header.

IMPORTANT: You need to save the file in a different format to prevent data loss. There will be a notification on the excel screen in a yellow bar. Click on "Save as" or if you do not see the notification, simply click on "File" on the menu bar and then click "Save as".

STEP 6

It is best to save the file as an "Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)". You can choose to either delete the previous CSV file or rename it if you will still need it for reference.

FOR LIBREOFFICE CALC USERS

When you open the file, the delimiter screen will appear. You simply need to click on "OK" and it will open the file with separated columns.
